Nag Panchami Puja 2023: Nag Panchami (Hindi-
नाग पंचमी, Bengali- নাগ পঞ্চমী) is a traditional worship of snakes or
serpents observed by Hindus throughout India and also in Nepal. The Nag
Panchami Is Also Celebrated As Vishari Puja Or Bishari Puja or Naaga Pujaa In On The Night Previous To
The Festival Keep Complete Fast Or Take A Salt. The worship is
offered on the fifth day of the bright half of the Lunar month of Shravan
(July/August), according to the Hindu calendar.
Worship
On the day of Naga Panchami, Nagas, cobras, and snakes are worshipped with milk, sweets, flowers, lamps, and even sacrifices. Naga or serpent deities made of silver, stone, wood, or paintings on the wall are first bathed with water and milk and then worshipped with the reciting of the following mantras

দেবীমম্বামহীনাং শশধরবদনাং চারুকান্তিং বদন্যাম্ ।
হংসারূঢ়মুদারামসুললিতবসনাং সর্বদাং সর্বদৈব ।।
স্মেরাস্যাং মণ্ডিতাঙ্গীং কনকমণিগণৈর্মুক্তয়া চ ।
প্রবালৈর্বন্দেহ হং সাষ্টনাগামুরুকু চগলাং ভোগিনীং কামরূপাম্ ।।
দেবী মনসার মন্ত্রের অর্থঃ
সর্প দিগের মাতা, চন্দ্র বদনা, সুন্দর কান্তি বিশিষ্টা, বদন্যা, হংস বাহিনী, উদার স্বভাবা, লোহিত বসনা, সর্বদা সর্ব অভিষ্ট প্রদায়িনী, সহাস্য বদনা, কণকমনি মুক্তা প্রবালাদির অলঙ্কার ধারিনী, অষ্ট নাগ পরিবৃতা, উন্নত কুচ যুগল সম্পন্না, সর্পিণী, ইচ্ছা মাত্র রূপধারিনী দেবীকে বন্দনা করি ।
